The Haryana Women’s Development Corporation in Panchkula will launch a 10-day electric rickshaws training programme specifically targeting resident women and girls from Haryana’s below poverty line (BPL) families.

The Haryana Women’s Development Corporation in Panchkula will launch a 10-day electric rickshaws training programme specifically targeting resident women and girls from Haryana’s below poverty line (BPL) families.

Interested women have until July 19 to apply at the company’s office. Training will be provided free of charge.

Paramjeet Kaur, regional manager of the Haryana Women’s Development Corporation, said that after completing the training, the women can get subsidized loans for electric automatic rickshaws from the Punjab National Bank.

Eligible applicants must be aged between 18 and 45, have proof of residence in Haryana, and have an annual household income of less than Rs 180,000. They have to go through eighth grade.

She added that applications will no longer be accepted after July 19. She also said applications can be submitted to the District Manager’s office at 21 Bank Colony, West Haag Hospital Lane, or by calling #01666-244050.
